Kidsmomo believes a bookshelf should only be bare when someone's reading what was on it, so we're all about introducing kids to books and series they'll love!

Thanks for the comment, Scrumptious! I'm not familiar with Maiya Williams, but I am a HUGE fan of Edward Eager, so I'll definitely check out The Golden Hour. And I love your blog! I'll definitely keep an eye on it!

(Btw, I saw your list of top 10 books for Fuse #8, and I also LOVE The Pink Hotel! I don't think it's going to make my top 10 list, but it's definitely an unsung book, IMHO. Did you see my review of A Summer in the South by James Marshall? They have kind of similar sensibilities.)

If you liked Edward Eager (one of my favorite authors of all time!) you should definitely check out the time travel books by Maiya Williams, starting with The Golden Hour. I felt like she was such a wonderful, direct descendent of Eager's that I wrote to ask her if she read him and she said she loves him, too!

Note from Kidsmomo:
Scrumptious also provided a link to her personal website for adults (but still all about children's books!). She has more info there about The Golden Hour, so if you want to know more about the book, check it out with your parent!
