Holly is an adopted 12 year old girl that hates her life so she decides to runaway. (hence the name)She runs away to L.A. which is a long way from Alabama (I think). On her way to her home at the end of the story she writes all of her days in a journal blaming everything that has happened to her on her teacher that told her to write in a journal. At the end she get friends and a awesome home.

I had this book for a reading cirlce. I am 11 years old and i was very dissapointed in having to read a book. But after reading the first chapter I Knew that this was no punishment. I was only supposed to read a little bit every night. But that seemed to be very hard. I was drawn onto this book like it was real life. I felt as if this I were Holly. I read much more than i was supposed it was hard to control it. I reccomend this book for anyone any age any time
thanks,
connor
I read this book as something to do a reading response on, thinking it would have many great points to it, I ended up getting very intrigued by the storyline and felt like I was Holly. This book gives you a very good visual idea of what is happening and keeps you turning the pages until you HAVE to put it down. It is a very good book and recommend it to anyone who wants a good read. 🙂
This book is the best book I ever read it is sad and intersting book.
