Back in September, Nancy visited the new Harry Potter theme park in Orlando and proceeded to make me absolutely insane with jealousy by live-blogging throughout her magical experience.
Well, I FINALLY traveled to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter myself about a week ago, and you’d think that given my own suffering, I wouldn’t gloat and totally flaunt my trip in your faces… but you’d be wrong! Because now I will proceed to drive you guys crazy with envy by sharing some video footage from my time in Hogsmeade. Enjoy! (Muhahaha…)
This first video is from Ollivander’s, where we witnessed a Hogwarts newbie finding his perfect wand:
Later, we enjoyed a live performance by the Frog Chorus:
Let’s get a closer look at those amazing amphibians, shall we?
Following the frogs, along came visiting students from Durmstrang Institute and Beauxbatons Academy:
But the real star of the show was the Monster Book of Monsters:
I guess that’s the ONE good thing about not being a wizarding student — not having to handle this book during Care of Magical Creatures. Still, now that I’ve gotten a taste of life in Hogsmeade, I’m going to keep an eye out for my Hogwarts letter in the mail, just in case…
