I read this book and I loved it. If you like soccer this is the book for you. If you dont like soccer this is also a good book about friendship and how this girl named lily let soccer (her favorit thing to do) get in the way of her friendship. When Lily doesn’t listen to her coach she has to sit for the next two games and her friendship falls apart but they become best friends better than ever. In this book it teaches you to be a better friend and to not get into something better than friendship.
Thanks for this review. I have had a lot of girls wanting books about soccer lately, and I hadn’t seen this one.
Dear, Ms Yingling,
Thanks so much for posting this review and Megan, I’m so glad you enjoyed “Breakaway.” I spent a lot of my life playing soccer and wished I had had books to read about my favorite sport. Very happy to see that there are girls out there looking for soccer books! I’m working on a sequel so stay tuned. In the meanwhile, again appreciate the kind words. Any questions, feel free to contact me through facebook or my site.
Best Wishes,
Andrea
