this book is amazing! i was totally moved by it, and it had an even bigger impact on me because i read it at the time of the shooting in newtown, conneticut. If you love storys that start out super sad, but then have beutiful endings, then i would recomend this book. if you have read this book and liked it, but are up for somthing totally sad and the only reason you would read these sad books is to make yourself cry, then i would recomend sharon creech’s books. They are well written, but are super sad

me and my 6th grade class are reading it togther.we are on chapter 9 I think.were doing projects on it too! I think this story helps kids understand to look inside of feelings especially the ones that are harder to understand…for example Autism and Death are the most common in the book! Yes I agree its more of a girls book but a boy in my class says he likes it though”theres alot of interest in caitlin and death!”I agree.

OMG! I LOVE this book. I read it for my 7th grade summer reading project thing and I fell in love, it really moves you. And I didn’t want to ever put the book down I just wanted to go into my hidey hole wrap myself in my purple fleece blanket and look up at the word scout. LOL get it?
