Breadwinner Book Review
The Breadwinner is a book about Parvana the protagonist. Parvana struggles under the rule of the
Taliban and to make her life harder she has to bring home all the money.
Deborah Ellis really made the book come to life. She did this with all the juicy words and all her verbs. Her words would just flow. What I also liked about the story was that the breadwinner was not predictable like some other stories that I have read. My favourite part was in the ending, and I don’t want to give it away.
If I had to rate The Breadwinner I would give this book an 4.5. The reason I only gave it a 4.5 is because it had some violence in the book, but other than that I would give The Breadwinner a ten out of ten. I can not wait until I get to read the Parvana’s Journey and Mud City.
