Breadwinner Book Review
The Breadwinner is about a young girl and her family. Parvana the main character always struggled under the control of the Taliban. She would try doing everything she could to try to survive. But she could not do everything by the control of the Taliban with to try to survive .The Taliban is like a bully in school, and they controlled most of Afghanistan. The Breadwinner really showed me that I am really lucky to live in a safe place.
The Author had all this action taken place at Kabul, Afghanistan. Deborah Ellis, the author, made me feel I was watching it happen by all of the imagery words she put in with her text I think the main character is believable because this story happened in the history.I think Malala Yousafai is like Parvana because she risked her life like Parvana with the advancement of education for girls.
I found this book in grade 5. I loved that her dad showed up at the end of the book because Parvana thought her dad is never gonna come back. Another thing I loved is there plan that both Shauzia and Parvana made that in twenty years they were going to meet each other on the top of the Eiffel tower on the first day of spring. I like this book because it happened in the history.I recommend this book for people who hate school, so they know how lucky they are. I will recommend this book for ages 8-26.
