Breadwinner book review
Deborah Ellis wrote the Breadwinner and it’s about a little girl living in the capital of Afghanistan. It’s about a girl named Parvana who has her father taken away by the Taliban. Now she has to walk around as a boy to earn money and food for her family.
The author did a great job writing the book in my opinion. The things that I really liked, was when she wrote how hard it was in Afghanistan. One of the challenges were that girls were not allowed to go outside they would have to go outside with a male. I also liked how something bad will happen then an act of kindness came after. The book had a lot of juicy words in the book it captures my attention. I don’t have any bad comments on this book.
I found the book really good, it was action packed, and it also showed that we are lucky to have school. This book is a little violent so if I would recommend I would recommend it to people who is learning about human rights. For the age group I would choose 8+. The parts I liked was when the girls dug up bones it taught me not to give up
