THE BREADWINNER BOOK REVIEW
The Breadwinner is a realistic fiction book that tells you about how life is in Afghanistan. I think that Parvana is scared that the Taliban killed her mom and her sister. It also tells you about how the Taliban are mean and they torture people. In the middle of the book at the soccer stadium when the prisoners are getting punished, I thought it was pretty exciting.
The author didn’t make me feel like I was in the story, because she didn’t use enough descriptive language. My favorite part was when the prisoners got punished. I would like to know what happened to Parvana’s family. I would recommend the book to a 7 year old. I didn’t like the book because I wanted it to go on longer, also I wanted for more information to be in the book. My least favourite part was when they dug up the bones, I thought it was gross. I would like for the author to give more info like, why nobody stands up to the Taliban, and why they all listen to them? I give the book a 5 out of 10.
