The Breadwinner is a very good book! I like it because it is about human rights, egalitarianism, and inequality. It shows us how people (and the main character, Parvana) are treated in Afghanistan. It is like Deborah Ellis is showing us Parvana’s life. Parvana is the main character who is struggling to take the Taliban’s abuse.

I already made a Breadwinner book review, but am going to redo it. So here it is! The Breadwinner is a book about a young girl and her family who live in Afghanistan. Parvana the protagonist struggled under the opression of the Taliban rule. The major themes within this book are when Parvana had jobs to earn money for her family, and when she found Homa. This is a great book about human rights, and how life is in Afghanistan
