Happy New Year! [confetti] [cheering] [dancing in the streets]

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s turn our attention to all the new books that are coming out this year! [MORE CONFETTI] [MORE CHEERING] [MORE DANCING IN THE STREETS]

Okay, I promise it’s really all out of my system now…

Anyway, it looks like 2015 may be a very exhilarating year! It’s certainly starting off with a burst of adrenaline and a bunch of danger — check out these three epic adventures that come out this month:

The Zodiac Legacy by Stan Lee, Stuart Moore, and Andie Tong
This new graphic novel series is co-created by the man behind many Marvel superheroes. In these stories, twelve magical superpowers are unleashed on the world, and it’s up to a Chinese-America teen to fight against a ruthless organization of villains trying to track down the powers of the Zodiac.

And if this book trailer piques your interest, you can go to the official website and download free eBooks that include character profiles and the first six chapters of Book 1: Convergence!

TombQuest by Michael Northrop
When Alex’s mother uses ancient Egyptian spells to heal her son, she accidentally brings an evil into our world. Now Alex has to fight these terrible Death Walkers — and he needs the help of the reader, who can participate through a game on the official site. Check out the trailer:

The Book of Storms by Ruth Hatfield
The morning after a storm, 11-year-old Danny wakes to find his parents gone. Even stranger, he can hear the thoughts of a dying tree! He soon learns that the Book of Storms is the key to putting things right — but he’ll face powerful enemies on the way to finding his family. Listen to the beginning of the book:

Are you planning to read any of these books? Leave a comment and let me know. And also tell us all if there are any books that you’re particularly looking forward to reading this year!

Karen really wants to read Story Thieves by James Riley, which is also coming out this month. (And you can read the first two chapters yourself on the author’s site!)
