The Breadwinner:Book Review.
Parvana shows what everyday life is like in Afghanistan. The major theme is the war because the Taliban throw bombs at the peoples houses. The relationship between Parvana and Shauzia is they are working and making money.
The book by author Deborah Ellis is takes place in Afghanistan when the Tailban rule Kabul. Yes,the author made me feel like I was in the book because I think I was Shauzia. ,Shauzia is really good and I’m really good too. The book is unbelievable because Parvana is dressed like a boy so that she can go to the market and go to work. Merdia, of the movie Brave is like Parvana because she is brave and Parvana is also brave. What I like about the author’s writing is the cliffhanger in the third paragraph.
This happens when Parvana’s father was taken away by the Tailban. I feel sad because they didn’t ask him to go with them. They just took him away from his family and home. When Parvana’s house was bombed by the Taliban, Parvana and her family went to a smaller house.
I feel upset because there are less rooms, less windows and maybe one bathroom. I dislike the book because when it is talking about the Taliban.I would recommend this book to my neighbor, she is the same grade or age as Pavana. I found the book confusing because I didn’t know who are the Taliban and what they do and how they do that.I thought that was a name of a person.
