In my opinion, I liked this book. It was really good. Parvana, an 11 year old girl has to struggle and make a lot of changes in her life to keep her family safe. As conditions for the family grow desperate, Parvana must disguise herself has a boy. Women didn’t have the chance to go to school in Afghanistan and it’s insane how women couldn’t go outside without a man. She had to work to bring food for their family. I think people who have the opportunity to go to school should take advantage of it. Women in Afghanistan didn’t have the opportunity to go to school, and if there was a way to get an education they would do what they can to have one. This book was sad because of all of her struggles.
