This book is very inspiring it kind of makes you sit and think about what you have and how much we don’t appreciate things. And it shows us how woman and kids have to go through, and its very sad.

In my opinion, I liked this book. It was really good. Parvana, an 11 year old girl has to struggle and make a lot of changes in her life to keep her family safe. As conditions for the family grow desperate, Parvana must disguise herself has a boy. Women didn’t have the chance to go to school in Afghanistan and it’s insane how women couldn’t go outside without a man. She had to work to bring food for their family. I think people who have the opportunity to go to school should take advantage of it. Women in Afghanistan didn’t have the opportunity to go to school, and if there was a way to get an education they would do what they can to have one. This book was sad because of all of her struggles.

The book “Breadwinner” was an very good book. In my opinion, this has been one of the best books I’ve ever read. I really understood the book better than any other book I’ve read so far. Breadwinner made me realize I should appreciate how I live. It helped me understand that not everyone is as lucky as I am to be living the way I live. It also tells me that no matter how many times i want to give up, to keep trying because at the end of the day, everything I do will be appreciated by somebody.

I can’t imagine how Parvana was living. For example, Parvana had to switch genders to make money for her family, so they can get food and stay alive. If it wasn’t for Parvana, her family would have been dead or in very deep condition. Another example is even before she switched into a boy, she couldn’t leave her house and she was forbidden to go back to school. The Taliban has taken control over Afghanistan so they forbade women to work and leave their houses for ever and they forbade girls from going to school, so Parvana barely had any friends. As a kid, it’s very hard growing up in poverty because then they grow up to thinking that will never be nothing or will ever succeed in life.

This book was a really good book . I think this book was a really good book because the way every thing happened and what they had to do to stay alive. Also, i think the book good of been better if they had a movie to go with it. and the best part is that they have a second book. And that is what i think about the book.

I like this book Breadwinner because it shows what people, especially women, have gone through since the Taliban took over Afghanistan. This book is mainly about women. For example, in the book it shows that Parvana had to go through a lot of rough patches through the time because she had to do a lot of dangerous decisions to support her family. That took a lot of courage because ever since her father left she had to be the ¨The Breadwinner” in the family. I think that Parvana is intelligent, respectful and outgoing girl because that takes a lot of guts to do that for her family.

I think this is a good book because it teaches you about the real world and tells you about the struggles that females in Afghanistan have to go through. For example, Parvana had to do a very dangerous decision in her life and she had to figure out a way to get money to feed also support her family. This book tells me that you have take risks to survive. This book was inspiring to me because it takes a very brave girl to do things the way that she did.
