This book is named Shiloh and it is realistic fiction and the setting is usually outside in Judd’s house and Marty’s house. The main characters are Judd, Marty, and Shiloh. This book is about a dog named Shiloh who is abused by his owner Judd. One day a little boy named Marty found Shiloh on the streets alone and begged his owner and his parents if he could keep him…………….. One of my favorite parts is when Marty works for Judd to get Shiloh for his own but Judd actually tricks him. This book would be for a reader that likes kind of sad books because this book could be sad in some parts. But also is people like those kids of books where in the beginning it is sad or there is a problem and then it ends happily.

Shiloh is a realistic fiction book by Phyllis Renalds Naylor. 11 year old, Marty finds a beagle that belongs to his neighbor Judd at his doorstep. He finds out that the beagle is being mistreated and decides to hide him. This book reminds me that no dog should be abused, its just not right. If you like lying and secrets, you will love Shiloh!

The book Faith Hope and Ivy June by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor Is a excellent realistic fiction story. It is about 2 girls , Catherine Combs and Ivy June Mosley and they both signed up for their school’s 7th grade student exchange program. Taking turns they go to each others house for 2 weeks and see what its like to live in someone elses shoes. A connection I can make to the book is that I had a 4th grade student shadow me to see what its like to be a 5th grade student. The 2 girls in the story have to shadow each other for 2 weeks. If you like books that have problems and find a solution or like books that seem so real, then this is the book for you
