Today I traded my flip flops for boots. September 21 is the first official day of of fall, but when I wear boots is when fall starts for me!
So… that also means the start of a new school year, and it’s probably the first week of school for many of you. And that’s a big deal — such a big deal that President Obama made a big ol’ speech about it!
The speech was aimed directly at kids, and one of those kids (9-Year-Old Sarah from Oklahoma) posted a video to share her reaction with the world. Just in case some of you don’t know her (actually… I doubt any of you know her — neither do we!), check out her video:
I think it’s great that Sarah’s getting her message out there! Whether you’re a Republican, Democrat, Independent, Fudgermallow, Diddlydoo, or other, it’s important to read up on the facts and make your own decisions.
By the way, Fudgermallow and Diddlydoo aren’t really political parties. But wouldn’t it be hilarious if they were?
P.S. Politics aside, it’s awesome that the President mentions J. K. Rowling and Harry Potter. HP love in the White House, yo!
