Winnie the Pooh and his friends are BACK in a new companion book titled Return to the Hundred Acre Wood. Although original Pooh author A.A. Milne has passed away, author David Benedictus has written a new addition to one of everyone’s childhood favorites.
Even though Pooh is for younger kids, I’ll bet you have fond memories of the stories. I know they’ll always have a special place in my heart — especially because I’ve always loved the inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood — and I identified with a lot of them:
Tigger is jumpy and energetic: After I have my morning coffee? Check!
Eeyore is really gloomy: Yeah, that’s pretty much how my friends describe me. So much that they gave me a stuffed Eeyore for a present once. Check!
Winnie the Pooh loves huney honey (and food in general): Check!
The new book comes out October 5th and will also be available in audio book format. The audio book is narrated by Jim Dale, who also did the Harry Potter audio book. Check out this video of him doing the voices of Pooh, Piglet*, and all the rest of their friends!
* Piglet is described as BRAVE. Definitely no check here for me.
