Can you imagine being in a fire?
Well, in the book Firegirl Jessica Feeney was in a fire and got badly burned. She goes to St. Catherine’s Catholic School. Jessica gets to school late and leaves school early because she goes to the hospital for treatment. Her classmates don’t really care for a burnt girl in the class. Tom(classmate) is very kind and starts a friendship with Jessica. One afternoon, Jessica left early and didn’t bring her homework with her. Mrs. Tracey asked Tom to bring Jessica her homework because they live in the same neighborhood. When he brought the homework Jessica’s father said come in and he went to Jessica’s room to give her her homework. Then he leaves. I don’t want to spoil the book so I’ll stop here.
I recommend this book to 5-8 graders!!!!!!!
