Warning: This blog entry starts off a little… gross!
So I was waiting in the subway today, and I happened to see a rat. A really big, fat, grimy rat. And since I’m a seasoned New Yorker now, instead of yelping, I just politely stepped aside for it. And since it’s a seasoned New Yorker-rat, it took its sweet time lumbering by… Also, it was REALLY fat. It reminded me of Templeton, of Charlotte’s Web fame. And that got me thinking of photos and videos I’ve seen that remind me of famous animal characters!
(Btw, I stumbled across these pics and videos while surfing around the Internet. I don’t own the rights to any of them and I don’t know who they belong to. But thanks to whoever posted these amazing things!)
For instance, Fantastic Mr. Fox from Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox:
Chester Cricket from A Cricket in Times Square:
A penguin from Mr. Popper’s Penguins (soon to be a movie):
And maybe these are two of White Fang‘s cubs:
Okay, as you might have guessed by now, this blog entry is pretty much an excuse to show cute animal photos and videos, like this one of a real-life Rascal:
And speaking of furry fiends, this cat would totally be a suspect if Sam the Cat Detective had any say in it:
Nancy waved to a dog today, and it waved back. Unfortunately no one witnessed it waving, so she was called crazy. But it totally did!
