This is my favorite book. It is the first book of The Ranger’s Apprentice Series: The Ruins of Gorlan. It is written by John Flanagan. Will is 15 years old and small for his age. The rangers have spooked him. The rangers use bows and knives. He is chosen to be a ranger. Morgorath, the evil villain, is planning an attack. My favorite part of the book is when Will kills the last kalkara because it is really thrilling. I recommend this book to anyone who likes knights, archers and scary monsters.

The Ranger’s Apprentice is a book about an orphan in medieval times that is recruited to be a ranger who are mysterious shadows to the everyday world. The books are really good because they are action packed and fast paced. I would recommend it if you like the online game Runescape.
